Launching Picto an AI image generator on stck.me

Anything you can describe in words can be converted into an image

Everyone who uses the internet has at some point tried to look for the right image to go with their work. Finding the right one, copyright free or paid, has never been easy.

Picto is our tool to solve this problem. It is based on stable diffusion AI a new class of “deep learning” systems (DALL-E and Midjourney the other major ones) that convert text prompts into images. You own the rights to the output you generate (license terms here).

The quality of results are truly astonishing. For many simple tasks Picto is way faster than searching for public domain images. Moreover, instead of tired old stock images you can make your own unique ones. As a writer you would need a budget of thousands of dollars to commission or license commercial artwork of the same quality.  Picto is open to all with a stck account. Anyone can add high-quality images to their writing - book covers, photographs, illustrations, or elaborately conceived NFT drops.

This is how it works - simply type in the text “a cover for Romeo and Juliet”, pick a filter and Picto generates images. It offers three alternatives and you can keep going until you are happy with the output. We limit you to 10 images/day for now.

Advanced users can also use very precise and elaborate prompts instead of the filters. For example, “A cat on the roof of a Parisian apartment, dusk, cinematic light
